Blackmagic just announced the Pocket Cinema Camera 6K. While you wouldn’t really call this a ‘pocket’ camera anymore (to be honest even the 4K version was anything but a pocketable camera) the 6K version now boasts an S35-sensor with EF-Mount.
With a resolution of 6144 x 3456 (16:9) you’ll be getting a 6K powerhouse to utilize your Canon EF-lens portfolio. The Pocket Cinema Camera 6K comes with a dual gain ISO of 400 and 3200 (25,600 max). You are getting decent 13 stops of dynamic range. In combination with 10-Bit ProRes and 12-bit Blackmagic RAW that’s more than enough for a decent post-production workflow. The camera features CFast and SD UHS-II slots as well as recording externally via USB-C.

- up to 60 fps at 6144 x 2560 2.4:1
- up to 60 fps at 5744 x 3024 17:9
- up to 120 fps at 2.8K 2868 x 1512 17:9 (windowed mode with higher crop)

The large 5-inch touchscreen LCD with ‘touch to focus’ controls to perfectly control framing and focus. The full-size HDMI connector with 10-Bit output supports HDR as well. Using the same LP-E6 batteries, according to Blackmagic you are getting around 45 minutes of runtime.
