Creating the Luma Fade transition in Adobe Premiere Pro is actually pretty easy:
– Move the second clip over the first one so they overlap
– Apply the ‘gradient wipe’ effect from the Effects Panel.
– animate the ‘transition completion value from 100% to 0%
– set ‘Transition Softness’ to about 15%
– check the box for ‘Invert Gradient’
That’s it! Pretty simple right?
